Catapult Financial Technologies (Catapult FinTech) was founded by four seasoned professionals with over 100 years of combined expertise spanning Financial Markets, Investing, Financial Services, Technology Engineering, and Therapeutic Transformational Change. Together, they conceived and developed Dilly.

Dilly is an AI Financial Wellbeing Coach built to address what most financial apps miss: the psychological barriers that prevent people from taking action.

    Our combined expertise in Wealth Management and Emotional Wellbeing gave us a unique vantage point — and a clear purpose. Dilly brings both together for the 47 million UK adults navigating their finances alone: helping them become more financially secure, while also feeling more confident and at ease with their money.

  • Portfolio Catapult is where it all began. Built for Asset Managers and Capital Allocators, it´s an Equity Portfolio Optimisation Platform that uses advanced analytics to improve portfolio performance - while reducing both costs and decision-making time.

  • Invest Catapult builds on the Portfolio Catapult Engine to develop and implement ETFs and Managed Portfolios designed for enhanced long-term returns at low cost. It also expands Dilly's capabilities, adding further offerings within Dilly's Money Essentials Pathway.

Our Team

Scott Frank

Based in the US, Scott brings more than two decades of expertise in Equities Analysis and Wealth Management, spanning both Capital Allocation and Wealth Management Planning & Advice. He holds professional designations in Investment Analysis and Wealth Planning, and is a Regulated Individual (RI) in the US. A founder of Portfolio Catapult, Scott has also played a central role in building the AI Prompt Handling protocols that give Dilly its structure and decision-making framework.

George Bower

Based in London, George brings almost four decades of experience in Financial Services and Wealth Management. In 2019 he retrained in Solutions Focused Psychotherapy and Interpersonal Counselling, qualifying in 2023. He holds an MSc in Finance and professional certifications in Private Markets Investing. His dual expertise gives him a unique perspective on Financial Wellbeing and Coaching, grounded in Positive Psychology and Solutions Focused Transformational Change. George has also played a central role in developing the Constitutional AI framework that shapes Dilly's values-based behaviours.

Piers Metcalfe

Based in London, Piers brings three decades of experience in Investment Management across all asset classes. Beginning his career as a Hedge Fund Analyst, he progressed to Head of Investing at a significant private Investment Company in London, investing globally. He holds a Law degree and a Master's in Finance, and brings a pragmatic, grounded approach to Investing and Portfolio Construction. Piers has also played a central role in developing the unique, bespoke content library that Dilly draws from.

Patrick Newell

Based in the US, Patrick co-founded Portfolio Catapult alongside Scott. After several years at Credit Suisse in New York as a Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst, he has spent the last 15 years in Engineering and Coding, working across the full spectrum from back-end operations to front-end User Experience. Patrick has been instrumental in building Catapult FinTech's AI expertise and managing the technical infrastructure needed to bring Dilly to life.
